Musical: Update

Yesterday, Tyson, Abigail and my class partner Carl and I shot the musical that I posted about before.

I didn't get to take any pictures, but the final product will be amazing.

I'll be posting it either Oct. 7 or 8. Carl and I will be editing it until then.

Be excited. I am.

Karaoke

Today is my dad's birthday. My family went out to dinner to celebrate. There was karaoke.

This is the consequence:

Ghost Town

So I just saw Ghost Town. It was funny. It had a nice blend of American slapstick and British awkward humor. Timing was good. Greg Kinnear plays his average "ass" role and Ricky Gervais plays a disgruntled dentist finding the meaning of life nicely. Kristen Wiig plays her interruptive, crazy person character well similar to her SNL characters. Aasif Mandvi plays Gervais' dentist associate very well, it's a shame he wasn't played in any of the promotional commercials, especially since the commercials are all over Comedy Central.

The movie is very much a funny, silly version of Ghost Whisperer and Sixth Sense. The story gets a little too serious and deep in the third quarter and doesn't quite recover to complete funny level at the end, but it seems like many movies are finding this sort of issue. The movie doesn't quite know if it wants to be a comedy or a story of discovery... Oh well. It's entertaining and fun to hear a silly take of helpless ghosts regardless of identity crisis.

Not much new...

I feel like posting merely because I haven't posted anything in a while.

I'm actually quite busy, but I don't have any finished products right now. I'm working on a video musical (think a parody of HSM and similar to Dr. Horrible...) for my video production class. My teammate and I are hoping to shoot it in HD which is really exciting.

So far the song has been recorded and we're going to shoot it Sept. 27. The whole thing is due Oct. 8, so I'll probably have it up on Vimeo some time around then.

I've scheduled to record and produce a couple of my buddy CJ's songs, so I'll post those when they're finished.

Okay, time to go to class.

New Produced Song!

Tyson came over again yesterday and we recorded his new song "See You Like I'd See You."

The song is mainly an acoustic ballad, but I rounded it out with some cool, extra sounds.
As of right now, it's not up on his myspace profile, but it should be later today or so...

Check it out (sometime soon, hopefully):
